Wagon Week EP30 - Mini Minivan
Переглядів 18 тис.Місяць тому
If Chrysler minivans are so lame, why did Auto World by Round 2 just release a cool 1/64 scale die cast replica of one? The truth is, Chrysler Corporation’s “S-platform” minivans lit the fuse on the minivan market segment - and drew massive profits for Chrysler - and Auto World. But was it just a cheap K-car riding in a box? Be a “video voyager” and learn.

So plain and unassuming, you’d never guess it’s a Chevrolet, this 1974 P-10 Step Van once cleared drains and thawed frozen pipes. Now it rusts. But it’s a C.O.P.O. so gather ‘round to see what makes it strange. And does it still stink?
Wagon Week EP28 - Road Runner Station Wagon?

As the Smog Seventies choked the horsepower out of every car, adding a 2-barrel carburetor to the anemic Slant Six unleashed new levels of performance - and economy. But did Plymouth really offer a station wagon version of the spunky Volare Road Runner? Watch and see!

One of dozens of different - but similar - delivery vans used by the United States Postal Service, the International Harvester M-800P Metro-Mite was low on creature comfort but high on utility. And what do you mean there’s no air conditioning?

... Two weeks ago, I bought a running and driving 1953 Dodge Regent four door... 230-6, three speed manual... Nearly flawless interior and exterior, no rust, no holes anywhere, and no body filler... A complete set of Firestone glass belted wide whitewalls ... Best regards...
I vote YES! ❤❤❤❤❤
So so so glad you're better now. The entire motor head world missed you immeasurably, myself included. The world is definitely not as informed when Magneto is out of service. Glad your back, Steve! Hope you stay well.
Dude disappeared with some cash?
Chris is one of my favorite players. It breaks my heart that he got used up by a certain someone who will remain unnamed. That's a First for me. Also praying for Johnny Neel. Rattlebone was a great concept and a great record. Prayers also for Monte🙏
I pray God helps you get better.
$408,845, Sunday June 23, 2024. Still going up! Hey, you guys in the back row, get up here!!
in Tucson az 1962 the police used these cars, as a teen at night you could usually tell if the cops were behind you by the staggered lights.
I don't get how these cool cars featured by Steve can exist in 2024. I was combing junk yards in the 80's and there wasn't this kind of cool stuff then.
It was our current health care system that gave Steve the medical help he needed in a timely manner. You will not get that in a universal, socialist health care system. I'm glad to have donated to Steve to help him out, it's private sources helping people that creates a better society, NOT centralized government take overs.
Love the intelligence and clear delivery.
Very COOL video! Love it! Energetic. Stylish.
Steve great too see you again get better brother 👍👍👍👍👍
It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World had several '62 Dart police cruisers and a 62' Dart convertible in it !

Don't sell... we got your back!
Just saw a video Bill from Curious Cars did on one of these. These were the last gasp from Chrysler everything was going to front wheel drive by then. Never thought much of them in the past but I would have one if it were in decent shape.
Actually, the glass sunroof was COMPLETELY REMOVABLE, and fit securely on 4 prongs under the hood! I bought a brand new 1986 SE which came with the upgraded nose, and big whale tail spoiler. I chose the optional V6 and manual transmission. Mine was fully loaded, and the V6 was ALOT quicker than the awful 4 banger. I still have it, lifelong Southern California car, its still on the road.
I wonder if this car is part of what inspired Tommy and Rick to build the Altered Ego on Muscle Car, the Mercury Meteor with a 4.6L with stack injection.
Sending prayers 🙏and hope that you reach your goals and full recovery ❤️🩹
He needs new slippers 🥱
Awesome to see you recovering
Hope yur feelin better Steve..it's been a while since this aired. I still have a black '93 Z-34. I bought it from the original owner in 2004. It does need some tlc now but I can definitlly vouch for it. Great styling, and decent performance, but can be difficult to work on.
So sad seeing this, Ricardo would be rolling over if he seen this😢
The auctions aren't the same without you. Miss you dog, keep fighting 💪
Get well soon Steve, love your work
Mr. B. Here ! 🍩☕️👀😎👍. Many of you folks forget we as a nation are capitalist you , me all of are to health care a way to make money, not all MD’s look at it as a business. Both sides Dem’s & Rep’s are full of CaCa when they tell us all they are looking out for us ! Think about that ! 🍩☕️👀😎👍
My first car was a 1963 Chrysler Newport with the push-button controls. Bought it for $100 and 2 lazy boy chairs 🤣
Welcome back!
Great to have you back Steve.
Awesome Car Steve I love the Mach 1 engine with the Autrailian multi throttle bodies so cool and it runs so good too. It is a Stellar hot rod. Also the shortened suspension looks so cool.

yeah, love that deco styling, so sweet. DeSotos were beautiful
Awesome to see you back on the web! Keep it up Steve!
My understanding from when I was a kid and these were new is that they had to have a Hemi since the Hemi is configured to be most efficient when flat out (as in NASCAR) and this worked well with the aero bits. A 440 was a torque monster and was good for drag races, so didn’t use the aero - it was mostly drag inducing at low speeds. Is that right?
I've never driven a Wing Car over 70 mph so I'm no expert. But many owners have told me the cars like to cruise at 100 mph or more depending on the road and police presence. I'd say the nose cone is a helper at any cruising speed while the wing is pretty much dormant until air flow begins creating down force, I've read the wing really becomes effective over 100 and makes nearly 200 pounds of down force at race speeds. The one big negative with wing cars is the reduced air flow to the radiator. They overheat in crawling traffic. Most are retro fitted with electric puller fans if slow cruising is anticipated. Anyhoo, I'm still recovering from encephalitis and walk 1.5 miles every day to keep active. My mind is still foggy but here's hoping the doctors prediction of one year to regain mental clarity. Thanks for watching and writing. -Steve Magnante
ford fairmont funny car...dont see this too much these days...
That's a cool car
Get well soon Steve
